Keurig Coffee Maker

Do you recognize this machine? If not, then you are not a true coffee fan. For the past few years, Keurig has been invading our homes with our own permission. Personal brewing is being perfected as we speak, at least according to this reader's testimonial.

If you are in doubt about the power of a Keurig machine, check out your local grocery store and scan the coffee aisle for the K-cup section. When you find it, be sure to check out the price per pound that most stores will display in small print. I imagine the local store would make this print invisible if they could, because some of these K-cups retail in excess of 20 dollars per pound.

Dear Coffeecionado!,

I received a Keurig as a gift. At first I thought, I will never use this. It only makes a single cup. But, I set the machine up and loaded in a K-cup, pressed the brew button and within 3 minutes, I had perfectly brewed coffee. Simple. Easy. Too easy. I was hooked. But I did not like all of the K-cups, they were expensive and I could not find my favorite grind in K-cup form. The cool thing is - the Keurig came with a personal brew basket that allowed you to put in your own grind. Admittedly this takes a little more effort, but I was still hooked. I was now able to buy a bag of my favorite grind and make just the perfect amount of coffee with just the right taste. I always hated brewing a pot of coffee and wasting my coffee supply. My coffee lasts longer now and I am able to buy smaller amounts for brewing. The coffee is fresher and the taste is enhanced. This was easily one of the best gifts I ever received. I highly recommend this machine. Keep a few of the K-cups around for those - I need a cup now moments - and use your favorite grind otherwise.

Sincerely - E. in PA.
